A family growing up in Montana faces off against others who are encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned hand in the rodeo world. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montanan accent and reverts to the SoCal speaking voice he normally uses.. I don’t think anyone does westerns better than Kevin Costner, and with Taylor Sheridan, it’s a win-win for the audience. Look at "Wind River" as an example of what Taylor Sheridan can do. Where’s Cole Hauser hiding? He’s awesome. I think the daughter is a necessary part, but she’s too much of a bitch. The scenery is fantastic and being from Colorado I can really appreciate the vast beautiful land. Do yourself a favor and tune into this series because it’s going to be a winner.
